Jesus said the following in the above text. "I am the vine, ye are the branches. He that abideth in me and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit; for without me, ye can do nothing".
Every sermon has a subject, Every preacher has to say something about that subject.
Have you ever sensed something is wrong between you and you wife, girlfriend, or boyfriend? You ask them what is wrong and they reply "Nothing"!!!!!!!!!!!
Today, I wish to speak on "Nothing"!
I. The "Nothing" of activity in a Christian Service: Phillipians 2:verse 3.
A. Let "nothing" be done through strife and vain glory.
a. Strife hurts our Christian work.
b. Strife hinders our Christian walk
c. Strife often keeps bad company
II. The "Nothing" of anxiety in our daily lives: Phillipians 4 vs 6
A. Be anxious for "nothing"/
What does anxiety do to us?
a. It destroys health
b. It destroys homes
c. It destroys dreams
c. It does nothing to help us cope with anything.
d. It drains our strength for today.
III. The "Nothing" of God's Power Luke 1 vs 37.
"For with God, "nothing" shall be impossible.
A, Consider a virgin having a child: Never happened before or since but, it happened to Mary.
Our faith grows by this acceptance of this "Nothing"!!!!!!!!!
IV. The "Nothing" of a Dead Church. Rev. 3 vs 17--The Church at Laodicia
"Because thou sayest, I am rich and increased with goods, and have need of nothing and knowest not that
thou are art wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked.
It focused on material possessions, plenty of money, plenty of buildings, " I am rich and need nothing"
Truth was, people all around this church were dying and going to hell.
We have churches like that today. They accept anything the world does to stay politically correct.
Homosexuality is ok, drunkeness is ok, drug use is ok, abortion is ok, because all these have their "rights".
Well, God has His "Rights" too and, God's word is still true. It doesn't matter whether society or the politicians believe it or not. It doesn't matter if some bone head re-writes the Bible in another version, it doesn't matter whether "Professional Preachers" are too gutless to preach it, God's word still stands.
We will be judged by God's word. We will be rewarded according to God's word, no supreme court or any other activist rights group will have a sayso or an objection to it and, no lawsuits will be filed.
"Nothing" is impossible with God.
"Nothing escapes from God
"Nothing is hidden from God.
All will stand before him some day and say "Nothing".
May God add His blessing to this message.

I just proved my point, I made a comment on your journal, before I read this, and Pee Wee you have made me more sure than anything, God NEEDS you someplace else. This message talked to me so much. You maybe an evangelist who knows but the Lord. You have done the work and now maybe the time to move on. Stand by your principles cuz it is you that will have to pay for it. You have an awesome job. I know you can and will do it. May God touch you and always use you as his brightest tool. Big Hugs, Love~~Debbie

one day we may be asked a question standing at heaven's gates. that question may be, why should I let you come in, what have you done to earn this. my answer will be Nothing. because it isn't my doing that saves me it is by the blood of the Lamb alone. so Nothing is really important like like Oldbiker has said here and straight up from the Word of God through our eyes and hopefully to our hearts. we need Him for everything and we are nothing and can do nothing without Him. so very well said my friend!
