My Prayer for You Eph. 3 vs 14-19
OLDBIKER
Many times as I have preached at my own church and other churches, the past 35 years, I have stated that the Great Apostle Paul is my New Testament hero.
Paul wrote most of his writings while he was in prison. Paul was a great prayer warrior and he had a deep compassionate love for people. He wrote to many churches in Galatia, Thessolanica, Rome, Ephesis, and Phillipi and the main theme of his writings were about love for one another, winning people to Christ, the amazing Grace of God and, God's unlimitless love for mankind.
In this Scripture today, Paul makes 4 basic things that he wants this church in Ephesis to have.
I. To have Inward Power:----vs-16
I read a story awhile back and it reminded me of Popeye who, when faced with adversity, he would open a can of spinach and after consuming it, he would have almost supernatural power and strength to combat whatever was causing problems. Most of the time it was his rival, Brutus. Folks, there are still Brutus' out there today and even in our churches. We need power that is supernatural to combat these Brutus's and that is the Power of God on our lives. We must realize the need of the Power of the Holy Spirit and the power of the inner man where the core of our spiritual life is based and centered. There are decisions coming up in the future that we all need God's power to make the right decisions.
To many churches today are focused on programs instead of people. If any church is primarily focused on anything other than winning souls, something is wrong somewhere. Jesus did not come to seek and to save, programs. He did not come to seek and save policies. Jesus came to seek and to save people.
Programs and policies won't amount to squat to most people in churches 20 to 30 years from now anyway but, the salvation of souls, lasts for eternity!!!!!!!!!
II. That Christ might Dwell in your hearts:--- vs-17
The presence of Christ is in us one of 3 different ways.
a. He is present--we are saved but, we aren't serving, we aren't witnessing, we are setting on the premises instead of trusting in His Promises.
b. He is Prominent--We are conscious of Him being within us through His Holy Spirit and we sometimes take time to listen to what the Spirit says to us.
c. He is Preeminent--We are controlled by His Spirit in where we go, what we say, how we act, and our inner man strives to uplift Him in all things and Praise Him for everything in our lives.
WE have Christians who may fit the first 2 categories and but, very few who fit the third.
III. A Full Comprehension of God's working within mankind:-vs-18-19
Understand and accepting that which can't be fully understood.
a. The limitless Love of God.
b. God's Amazing Grace
If anyone ever truly come close to really understanding God's love and God's Grace, it was the Apostle Paul.
Here are 4 things about God's love that are interesting to consider.
1. God's love is wide but, not shallow.
2, God's love is long but, not thin
3. God's love is deep, but not narrow
4. God's love is high yet, reachable to all mankind.
IV. The Fullness of God---vs-19
Paul wanted his followers to have the attributes of God. Paul wanted his people to receive all the blessings and the joy that God could give them. The key to all of these is obedience. We are saved by Grace, we are blessed by Obedience.
I do not believe God likes to see any of His churches fail
I do not believe that God likes to see any of His Churches close.
I do no believe that God likes to see churches substitute mediocre messages of the flaws of the environment and the state of the economy rather than preach salvation through the Blood Atonement and the sacrificial, vicarious death of His Son, Jesus on the Cross of Calvary, as the only means of salvation of the soul. Jesus said, 'I am the way, the truth and the life, no man comes unto the Father, but by me." John 14:6.
As long as God gives me strength, I will continue to Preach Jesus as the Bible states about Him which includes the following.
His Virgin Birth, His sinless life, His death on Calvary for the sins of mankind, The Blood Atonement, the bodily Resurrection on the 3rd day, His ascension into Heaven and His Promise to return to call his Bride, the Church Home. As long as I can stand and preach, I will do my best to Glorify Jesus for what He has done for me and, for all those who have trusted Him as their Saviour.
May God Bless this Message.

I can't imagine a life without Hope in Jesus Christ. Its like the only way I make it thru my days, anymore. There's that saying, "Spread the Gospel- if necessary, use words"...so its equally important to be a credible witness (walking the walk) in front of a watching world. Gets hard sometimes, cuz we aren't perfected yet, so our fallen nature still oozes out, you might say! But then we still have the Holy Spirit to guide us every step of the way- something I take great comfort in! :)
