Children of Parents with PD Community Group

My Mom has PD and I am her sole caregiver. I am here seeking support, advice, new treatment options, information and I thought this might help all of us "kids" who are looking to help their parent and themselves as this is a joint journey to some extent.

Sorry it has taken so long to let you all know that we are happy you found our little group and hope we can be of help when needed. So many of us are dealing with major issues and struggles with our parent(s) right now so we have not been as available as we used to be. Please send me a message if you post something and do not receive an answer and are in need of help or advice. If I can't answer it I know there are others in our group who I can get the message to and hopefully they will be able to help. I have just changed my DS preferences so I will be notified daily of any new members, posts, messages, etc. so that should help. I hope all of you are well and finding some peace in this journey we are experiencing with our loved one.

I can't believe it's taken me this long to find this group despite having been a member of the PD group for almost a year. It is with sadness, though, that I then realized that there has been no activity this year and so little before then. I'm very interested in exchanges with others who have parents with PD, so, if anyone reads this and is interested in getting discussions going again, I'd like to be part of it.

K9, I too struggle with my mom's situation. My mom has had so much confussion at times and then at others she's fine. She's called me 2 days in a row now and it's been like toddler babble. My dad's a mess and isn't sure what more to do. I'm 2 hours from them (in good weather) and feel helpless.

I want to be able to help my parents but just can't move to their state at this time.
