My mom is my sister

So here is my story. Growing up I knew the men in my mom’s life were not my father. I didn't even know what on earth what a father was until I was like 4. When my mom got married and settled down she told me the truth. I was 10. She told me that her father is my father. She was molested and that is how I came about. And here is a twist for you. My mom’s oldest sister experienced the same fate. She got pregnant around the same time. My cousin and I are 6 days apart. It wasn’t until I was 10 months old that he was arrested and put in prison. He was charged with 2 counts of incest and was sentenced to life in prison. It was the DNA of my cousin and I that locked him up and threw out the key! Imagine if we were aborted? Life was difficult being raised by a child but she did a hell of a job with what she had to work with! She never sold drugs or sold her body for money. Nope, she lied about her age to get a legit job and drove a car illegally. She had to dropout of high school because she had too much on her plate. She was working hard to support not just me, help her mom financially with her other sisters. There was 7 of us altogether. She did however got into unhealthy relationships (for obvious reasons) that greatly impacted my quality of life. I experienced all forms of abuse and that did not stop until I was 15. By then I was a hot mess and I started to do self-harm with smoking, drugs and promiscuity, and suicide attempts. Fast forward...37 years later. My mom as her Master's in counceling and I have a Bachelor's in Social work. Today I am a health coach and studing to be a life coach. But I have asked questions like, Why did this happen to me? Do I deserve to be here? Who am I? What would my life look like if I was adopted? I have had these questions answers through my faith and professional counseling. But I still feel stuck and here is why. I have desperately tried to forget! I have many night of bitter crying, for years. But I came to new knowledge that his actions are still affecting me physically today! Ooo it makes me so mad! What a selfish human being! I am seeking more counseling so I can hopefully finally close that chapter. I do hope to use this story for inspiration and hope but I still am struggling with unforgiveness and reconciling the good with the bad with in myself. I desire for that to no longer be the case. I joined this group to get and give support. No one gets how f’n hard this is emotionally unless you have experienced it yourself. I am thankful I found a group of people who can understand. It is time for this to turn this sob story into a testimony.

Namaste. Your story moved me to sign up. Just yesterday I had it confirmed that the man I learned 2 years ago is my biological father sexually assaulted my mother. My mother was only 18 and married. At that time, her husband was overseas in the military. Her and her best friend who was also married to my mother's husband's brothers husband, liked to drink and party. So they were actually sister-in-laws, they worked together, and they hung out and partied together. Her friend started messing with a guy and they all hung out a few times. One day her friend asked her to take a bottle of liquor over to the man's cousin's house because she couldn't do it. I'm certain the man was an alcoholic and a drug addict. My mother told me she just wanted to drop him off the bottle of liquor but he invited her inside, and my mother is also an alcoholic. She said that when she went inside his house, he immediately forced himself on her and she had on a dress. Someone came inside the front door and this allowed her to get from up under him and run out of the back door of the house. She said she never told anyone what happened. Since she claims she wasn't even sure he had the chance to penetrate her, when she learned a few months later that she was pregnant, she told her husband it was her best friend's brother's child. I am almost 50 and found out 2 yrs ago, after taking a DNA test with the man I was told was my biological father, that he was not my father. Both men died the same year after the truth came out. Today, I am a Nutrition specialist, Holistic health coach and the author of a book for those who are still soul searching and would like to become the best version for their positive self and spiritual development.
I also created a Life 101 Course that consists of nine lessons with hundreds of great questions very similar to some of the questions you've already asked yourself. Through my self-realization, I now know that this didn't happen to me, it happened FOR me, for you, and for the millions of people like us who most certainly deserve to be here. I wanted to tell you that I am here for you to help you get unstuck, release the anger and madness, as well as assist you with cutting negative karmic cords and forgive even that which seems unforgivable for so many. I am still on this planet to support others, especially "children born of rape" by sharing my testimony, book, and lessons. I get how f’n hard this is emotionally. I have experienced it because there is even more twists and turns in my story, which will be made into a screenplay soon, God willing. I too am thankful I found a group of people who can understand how hard this can be on a person when they find out how their mother became pregnant with them. I hope to help others like you and I turn our real life horror stories into great testimonies. This little light of mine is LOVE, and I'm going to let it shine, let it shine, let it shine.
