Hi sweetie, I am new here as well. I wont go to my highschool reunion because of the stress. I was always just the tall freaky girl that everyone liked to mess with. They had no idea what I had gone through or was dealing with at home. My family was a stressed out mess. I come from a gov family. I was burned by acid as a baby and grew up in area 51 hospital. My grandfather was the doc for it. My father died of cancer, from radiation, atomic bomb stuff, when I was 16 and my mother had triple bipass when I was 17. I had to take care of my grandfather. No one has any idea of what I have truely been through or seen because it was top secret. I still have nightmares and flashbacks. I spent my nights in hospitals and than go to school and act like nothing was wrong. I am sorry my mind was not on dating or the prom or cheerleading. I had other more important things on my mind with little sleep. So I was the freaky tall skinny girl. They all still talk bad about me because my ex was part of our class and he told them all kinds of crap about me. I dont care because I know the truth and the truth can never really be told. It is gov stuff and if they all want to judge me on lies then let it be. My brother and sister judge me likw this as well. They were not burned and they did not have to see or deal with what I did. I removed them from my life. I am tired of being judged on lies when I cant tell the truth. So I just let it be. I am smarter then them. I know the gov truth. They are the wrong ones to have judged me. I cant and wont live in their lies. I tried for alot of years to just go along with them but they almost killed me. They kept insisting I take pills like them. Pills kill, they dont cure. Pills just make them meaner and crazier. I am blessed to have children that understand and love me. I now just stay with my safe people and that is not many. I hope you feel better soon.

Welcome, glad you're here. I agree that socialization with people who have been through the same types of things you've been through and know where you're coming from is important. Otherwise you feel so alone, even if you have tons of friends who don't know.
You have more guts than me to go to your HS reunion b/c I got picked on a lot too. Kids can tell when you're down on yourself and attack like hens in a hen-picking contest. If they only knew how it was the icing on the cake.
