So Sedgwick, if you are so down on affairs then why did you do it in the first place?
Good question. The real question is why did I stay in it for so long?
It began for the usual reasons, mid-life crisis, lonely, bored, not so good marriage. . . what difference does it make?
Did I have feelings for exOW? Of course I did but now that I look back, I think of the story the three little pigs and the three houses. One was made out of stone, the other out of wood, and the last out of hay.
Why did I stay in it so long? Because of bullshit. From time to time I tried to pull away but on more couple times exOW would call me an assholefor supposedly using her and she would then threaten to blow to up my family by telling my w. The next day she would apologize and beg me to forgive her emotions as she would rub my crotch.. God I hate that Bitch. . . .
Hate to break it to you folks, but the feelings we have in an affair are just like that house that the pig built out of hay - not very stable.
So in case you are wondering exOW called me three times yesterday and left three voicemails. I blocked her numbers but now she is calling from new phone and left three messages. I was dumb and listened to just enough of the first message to hear it was her and I quickly deleted that and the other two without listening.
Its been over a year since I last saw her. Please just leave me alone. Move on to your next target already. . .
BTW. The sex was OK and only because it was so forbidden. It is not like fireworks or gold coins came shooting out of her ass.

I understand what you are both saying. It is just so hard some times. My emotions just get the best of me.

I do think of him every day but not with longing or hate. Like you I know how it started. I just wonder why I let it go on as long as it did. Maybe we were hoping for a miracle. I don't know. I'm just glad it's over.
But I know he'll contact me again....someday.
