If your are following my struggles and are new cheater trying to get out, I would suggest searching the net for articles on the affair fog. I saw several posts on it and really didn't understand and finally researched it!

I have to say it's pretty spot on to what I am going through and how I'm coming out. Pulling out of the fog is really tough but now understanding it is helping me see it all got what it is.

thank you. I am learning about it today as well....it makes perfect sense for what is going on. I think the first step to being able to rise out of the fog, is to recognize that it exists

very true. i came on here and spilled my story thinking that people would validate me or tell me to keep going in the situation i was in. the first thing someone said to me was that i was deep in the fog. and boy was i ever. there was a great blog post about it. some days are easier than others but i assure you, you can come out of it. i am about a month and a half out and its a little better every day.

Wow actually had 4 or 5 hours out of the fog today. Been talking to the xAP and wow said X. I'm home moving into my new house w my wife exciting!!!

I will get out of the funk!!! What is weird I see in my mind her having sex w her new man but I see her unhappy she will settle and be unhappy! She traded way down or I think she did!!!

Oh and if you were a dude what would you thin freshly divorced just got out of an affair and bangs me...... I feel bad she will get used and I will get freedom!!

The first time I heard about the fog after Dday, I understood it completely. It was a relief to me to read an explanation that made sense of what I had been going through. In fact, after Dday, before I even heard of "the fog", I described what was happening to me as feeling like I was "coming out" of something. I remember saying that if I could imagine what it felt like to be under a spell and then to come out of that spell, that that is what it seems like it would feel like.

dang you are up late/early. hope things are going better for you. coming out of the fog is like waking up from a bad dream...one day you wake up and wonder what the hell you were thinking. there are good days and bad days (I had a bad day yesterday). keeping ya in my thoughts as I head out on vacation.
