Hi there. I'd like to have some discussion on 1) the worst things people have done in their lives, 2) what they learned from the mistake(s), and 3) the steps they've taken to better themselves in the aftermath—and how that process is going.
I don't want anyone to incriminate themselves. For many folks here, infidelity might be that worst thing. I know it is for me, though there are a few other contenders for that title, unfortunately...
My hope is to learn from others' struggles, whether it be infidelity-related or something different. As I'm just a few months out from D Day, I'm still very much in the vicious shame cycle, and I'm finding it hard to get out. I'd like to hear from others who did wrong and perhaps got out of that cycle. How did you do it?

Well, today I realized that I had made a huge mistake largely as a result of my boyfriend's cheating and all the repercussions from that that were going on about this time last year. I planned to go get my driver's license renewed today as it was expiring in September 2015 (or so I thought). Right before leaving home, I took out my old license and looked at it and was very surprised to find that my license had expired in Sept. 2014!!!!! I have driven thousands and thousands of miles on all kinds of long trips since then---thankfully without incident. And thankfully since it had not been a year, I was able to get it renewed without a bunch of red tape! Geez!!! So it seems that I suffered a bit of brain damage from the A that caused this lapse, but it could have been much worse!
Lesson learned--don't let tunnel vision as a result of personal life troubles get in the way of your responsibilities!!!
Now you guys can get back to the serious stuff.... sorry, but I just had to share this!
