This is a support group for cheating spouses looking for understanding and strength. Betrayed spouses are welcome to post ONLY if they can do so in a supportive manner (no bashing...these posts will be deleted), and please do not comment on 'Cheaters Only' posts.
You have to be able to admit who you really are to the outside world even if you are afraid of how people will react to their view of you and be authentic. As long as the façade of who you are is in place......you will hide behind it.
I started cheating on my partner really soon after we became monogamous. I was inexperienced in relationships and had just gotten out of an abusive relationship. I lied and lied and lied about cheating on him and continued to do it.
I hate myself right now and he hates me to. I first started to tell him about the cheating three months ago but I continued to lie about the extent of it. And slowly over time more and more of it has come out. I kept convincing myself that if I told him everything he would leave me. Or it would just hurt him. And I convinced myself that I could make him happy without telling him everything.
I have just now told him everything, literally yesterday and I feel awful. I hate myself so much and he hates me too. I feel like I’m such a bad perskn and he tells me I’m incapable of love. But he hasn’t ended our relationship yet.
I am scared he’s right and I am incapable of love. I just feel so alone right now
