Had a 3 year affair now it's all out in the open..

Serial cheater i've probably had no less than a half dozen affairs in 18 years of marriage. My most significant one was for 3 years on and off, truly felt love for this person, travelled planned a future. Spouse found out and it's literally like Pandora's box has been ripped open..I've destroyed her, hurt our kids, family members...I don't know how to cope. GF is on hold but either way I choose I'm hurting her or my spouse...I'm paralyzed with fear.

I felt so conflicted when my affair came out. It was like an atomic bomb dropped. Ultimately, but admittedly not right away, I cut off my AP to work on my marriage. My AP was a devil's advocate pushing me to leave my family. I saw a terrible side of him and a lot of grace from my husband. It took a while to see the situation for what it was.

If I were you, I would remember to breathe, take a step back, and don't do anything rash. Good luck!

WOW! I can relate.... Trying to help the spouse heal is very difficult and tiring at times.. My H is clingy, insecure, and of course doesn't believe where I said I was.. I feel like a child, always in his sights.. but that's what I have to do because I care for him.. I miss my BF like crazy... Im heartbroken and really messed up.. HANG IN THERE.... its a long long road.....
