I don't know what got into me tonight but I found myself heavily heavily tempted to unblock OM from FB to see what there was to see on his profile. I haven't looked since we blocked him probably 2 years ago. It was crazy and I started to rationalize as I battled back and forth over it. I came very close to deciding to do it before I came to my senses. I remembered you all on here telling each other to wait it out and give the temptation time to go away so that was my first decision. After that I prayed about it and then I did the hardest thing of all and confessed to Cole about the temptation. It was hard to make myself tell him that but in reality it wasn't that bad. He was glad I didn't do it and glad I told him about it. He also asked me why I wanted to look and we talked a bit of rational talk about what it would do to me to look. I had no reason as to why I wanted to look except that I was just curious. Fact is I feel very sheepish about wanting to look. How the temptation managed to be so strong there for a while, I have no idea but I knew that if I told him about it it would take all the power of the temptation away.

I know many of you are struggling with FB stalking and other sites. This random and odd temptation that came out of nowhere made me think of all of you that are struggling with this. I know that you all know that it is better if you don't. As Cole pointed out to me, it is indirect contact but it is still contact and it will still set you back. If you are struggling with this temptation it might be good for you to have someone you commit to fess up to if you slip up. Doing it here is good, but someone in real life would be even better.
