Emotional balance

How do you keep a healthy mental and emotional balance when something about your affair is bothering you deeply but you can't talk about it with anyone?  I've been researching therapy but it all seems pretty out of my budget, including supposedly affordable options.  Does anyone have advice?  Many thanks.

Ugh. I think you have hit on the standard, enduring, unifying problem of an affair - not having anyone to talk to about it (or some element of it)!!!!

My solution? I come and write here. Write til the cows come home with little to no filter in a journal and then move on to the next day. Sometimes folks on here will be helpful or at least give me another perspective to munch on.

I agree with you completely! I don't know what I would do without this site, or similar. Yes, I have noticed you on a lot of the threads and I've been so glad that there are people committed to reaching out and helping others, even as they themselves are going through things. Thank you for being such an encourager! I want to be that for others as well, and so I have started to do that a bit.
