Don't do it! Think about all the hard work you've put into NC so far. I'm going on 7 days NC so I understand what your going through. Stay busy to pre-occupy your tempation. Remember the call text or meeting will only be fulfill your needs temporarily..think reality! You can do this!!

Quick, put a rubber band around your wrist and when you need to, snap it and say STOP firmly. (In your head if your not alone, it still works) it may surprise you how well it works. It did me. It doesn't have to hurt very bad so don't get carried away. Just a sting. Your sub-conscious gets the message. "Snap out of it!"

Restore, now is when you have to admit, you do not love her. She is an addiction. Once you're thru it, you will be glad you didn't contact her.

Now drink some water & go for a walk or run. Or just go scream.

Hi there, just wondering how you are doing. its been about 6 months since your post and i am just looking for assurance that it does get better.

Can it be automatically classified as an addiction? Perhaps he is truly in love with the AP and that is who he is meant to be with. Sometimes love comes from unexpected places.

And just because you love someone doesn't mean they are good for you......

Justme, I understand what you're saying and it is love 3% of the time. The other 97% is not. Most A's are not in the open so how can one tell if they love another unless they spend quality time together? Most A's impression of each other is over the phone & sex in secret places not day to day living with day to day problems. You may be able to go on dates once in awhile but that doesn't come near what goes on in a real relationship. I'm almost 2 years out from the breakup (AP initiated) and even though I'm still in contact (phone & email only) with my AP, I know for certain I do not love this man & will never be with him again. He is divorced now & alone. At this point I cannot treat him as badly as he treated me so I stay in contact as a friend. The advice I have for any CS is, look at your AP & see the real person. Judge actions, not words.

I've been thinking about this exact thing for a few days. And this is after4 mtgs apart, 4+ weeks bc, and 5 moths IC. I just started mc, and my friend is deep into another relationship. But I miss her so much.

Btw, that's 4 months apart. Some minor contact in the past five weeks - a couple of non emotional texts. But not seeing each other. It's astounding how day to day this still is.

It's been a very long road for me. You best block them out of everything. I've done my best when I don't give into temptation to want them back.

I've been sucked back in several times but haven't crossed the line. Still think about here all he time! It's a long journey I loved my AP deeply so that has made it hard. It's a daily struggle
