I was Married for 20 years. Many reasons caused my marriage to fall apart. I started cheating with other men for 2 or 3 months before I broke it off with my husband, but kept it all secret. Simultaneously with splitting with my husband, I have fallen for a married man. We are so in love. We have traveled together, spent tons of time together, and my heart has never felt this way. His wife has had suspicions, but he has kept her convinced it is not happening.
I know it sounds crazy, but I really think he and I could continue having a long term affair. Lots of reasons on my side that this could meet my needs.
I’m sure I sound selfish and naive, but I really think this scenario works out best for everyone.
I’m sure I will get a lot of heat for this post. But that won’t be helpful. Just give me practical straight forward thoughts.
Also, are there face to face support groups for people in my situation?
In the end affairs generally end in a train wreck so it really isn't going to end well for you either.
The practical straight forward though is that a relationship with a foundation of adultery will not survive, nor a relationship between two people who are not emotionally healthy.
Infatuation will end sooner than later and he will be left picking up the pieces of his broken family.
