I give up. I just got another text from him tonight. I have tried ignoring him, blocking him on IM, removing myself from a program we both participated in, and outright be rude to him. None of that has worked. So this week, I will actively search for a new job. It's sad that it has come to this because I wanted to be out here for at least 2 years, maybe 3. However, he makes my experience here dreadful.

These types are predators. They are selfish. They know your weakness and they exploit it. Do not put yourself down. I'm not sure how/why your previous relationship ended but screw that. It's over. Good riddance. Move on.
