Dr. Chapman’s 5 love languages of apology. Do any of you cheaters feel you're doing the best you can along these lines, but to no avail?
1. Express regret: I am truly sorry I hurt you; that I chose my actions.
2. Accepting responsibility: I’ve done this, no holds barred. It was my action, my choice.
3. Making restitution: What can I do to make this right? She can’t answer, I have no ideas. Tried applying to GS jobs, jobs I’d hate and that won’t fulfill me; probably won’t get them, and even if I did I don’t think that’s what she needs.
4. Genuinely repenting: I am on a different course, I am committed to never repeating this offence.
5. Requesting forgiveness: I’ve been doing this for a couple weeks now (earlier seemed premature and crass). She says she “gives” it, but we both know she hasn’t and can’t.

I agree with Korg; I don't think applying for a job you would hate will help you or your situation. Why don't you check with her to find out what she needs. Only she knows; we can suggest but probably better to speak to her.
Weigh out pros and cons of each choice. Rebuilding is a choice and if you are genuine about wanting to rebuild you need to be patient. MC and IC are a great start along with reading some books about the subject of rebuilding.
I wasn't able to find the path to forgiveness for over a yearpost dday.
