I've never been good with confrontation. I think that is why it took me so long to get out of the relationship with the OM, I needed a psychologist and my husbands reaction to end it. It's been 2 months and 15 days since Dday. It hasn't been easy. My emotions has ranged between fear, regret, resentment, frustration, depression, sadness and moments of strength. My husband seem to be doing better, I am glad for him but so sad that I stole his "innocence to life". When a spouse cheats that persons violently takes a fragile emotion from his partner. The Cheated Spouse will never look at life the same again, I think the same would be applicable to the children should they find out about the infidility.

I never thought I would do this to my marriage. I've been unhappy for a long long time but never ever thought I would do this. My husband is battling with the "duration" of the affair. It was 1 year and 3 months. I try to explain to him my thoughts on this but he doesnt seem to understand, any thoughts on why an affair last so long?

The emotion I am confronted with most is Fight, Flight or Faint. The one moment I want to fight by fighting for everything I hold dear. The next moment I want to "Flight" by just leaving and going to my parents for a while. And lately more and more I jusst want to "Faint", I want to stay in bed and just sleep and not wake up. I really don't see a reason why I should. My children would be okay without me and I think my husband would be kinda relieved, of course my parents would be sad. I really can't see myself do this emotional rollercoaster for the next 2 to 5 years (according to statistics). The problems I had in my relationship with my husband is still there (at least we talk about it now), but now we have a new issue added to our pprevious problems namely "the affair". I am stuck. My husband is not happy with our counsellor (we saw him twice)and doesn't want to go back. I don't have any "Fight" in me left. I wish I could just sleep.
