I am new to this, as I have just recently admitted to myself that I have a problem with fidelity. I know in my heart that I am not a bad person, but I can't help but feel that way because of actions I have taken in my past.
How does one overcome this particular addiction? I don't want to be this person anymore.

knowing you don't want to be that person and taking steps in that direction is a good start. Educate yourself also. Read up on the topic in addition to counseling. Knowledge is power.
