Well, the brothers workday was rescheduled for today. It was just Cole and his 3 brothers and their Mom. I had to go with one of our sons to San Antonio this afternoon after working the morning so i wasn't there. In a way I wanted to be. In a way I wanted to "face the music" head on. I was nervous all day and when he told me he had told them, and it went well, my son and I were at a gas station en route home and I cried. Release of tension I guess. I felt shaky. I got home before any of the brothers would be home so I called their wives, my SIL, and told them myself. That went better than I had hoped. Interestingly, my German SIL took it very lightly. Not sure what to make of that.
We still have his Dad and step Mom to tell and also a few of my family members.
If you don't remember why we are telling now after 2 years, (as my German SIL asked) it is because of the book that Cole is getting ready to publish with our story and a lot of the articles he has written that you can see in the news section of the Healing Infidelity Through Faith group. The book will have an accompanying web site so people can communicate with us directly. We don't want the family to inadvertently find out from any other source except directly from us.
I am glad that hurdle is over. apparently they had a little "skeletons in the closet" chat and said they will not be judgmental, as they have their own things they are not proud of, and they are pleased with how I / we have handled things since then.

Life has become very stressful for me right now. I started a thread just now on CA called "hard times." Most of it is financial, as 1800.00 of our monthly income has dropped away, and our oldest, disabled son, is about to go to culinary school, which is a miracle, and could mean independence for him, but, believe me, trying to make everything happen that needs to happen on this front is stressful, especially with no money, and quite frankly, I am very very nervous for him.
Also, our daughter, (11 hrs away) is in early labor, which could go on for weeks. She is due April 19th. It hurts us to be so far apart from each other, especially during this time. Luckily, I saved back money to go see the baby before the hard times hit. That money is UNTOUCHABLE. this is our first grandchild, and we WILL go see her after she is born.
There are things we have had to give up that hurt and I am killing myself, working so hard. I am wiped out most of the time when I am home. I have today off. Yay!
