With the holidays approaching, I need to vent about issues that bother me!
1. Thanksgiving--I love it! BUT....we SHOULD be thankful EVERYday, not just the last Thursday in November!
2. When people put X-mas!!!!!! This is taking CHRIST's name out of his own birthday!!!!! I cannot stand this! I will not patronize a store who puts this up, nor will I respond to a card, e-mail, etc...which has this in it!!
3. Happy Holidays!! When people say this to me I go off the handle! If you are offended by Merry Christmas...then i pray for you...as HE will be offended by you on Judgment Day!
Anyone else agree with me?

Life without JESUS is like an unsharpened pencil..... there is no point !
I try to be thankful when I expereince a trial or some sort of negativity in my life (and it helps me emotionally) because things could be worse and I know GOD IS IN CONTROL !! HE allowed the devil to do it for a reason . Maybe , HE wanted to teach me patience or not to be so fearful or something else that would benefit me .

The greatest thing about Christ-mas that I enjoy is that it gives me a chance to talk about Christ. Did you know that Christ was really born more about May or April. The Bible proves it

Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night.
There are very rare occasions when shepherds needed to keep watch over the flock at night. One of those occasions was when the ewes where giving birth. The shepherds needed to watch over their flock because of predators. Predators would come near to try to get the new born lambs. Foaling usually took place in late spring. Thus May.
The "church" or religious leaders were trying to change the old religions over to Christianity by changing their secular holidays into Christian holidays. They chose Dec 25th because it was a holiday that celebrated the time between winter and summer. A time of renewal. A time of rebirth. Although they celebrated the new holiday outwardly, many would celebrate the old ways in secret.
This does not change the fact that dec 25 was dedicated to the birth of Christ. Or it shouldn't. We have become a lazy and selfish generation. We, as a whole, have forgotten what the holiday really should be about.
Thank God there are some of us left who know the true meaning of the holiday. Speak up. Let them know who and what you stand for!!!
