Champions Of Christ Church Community Group
This is a church, but online! Most people view a church as the building you go to for worship. NOT TRUE. In the beginning, it was a community that shared things. This is a church. A web-based community who can share with others. Feel free to ask questions. There are no "dumb" questions. How will you know unless you ask. I only ask that you have JOY. (Respect of Jesus,...

Then, there are those who know scripture, can even quote scripture...but, do not have a relationship with the author. Abba, Father (God)
I would like to connect with you and maybe talk about this one a more personal level.
And, yes, I believe there are some scriptures that might apply (if you let them)
I think this might be one:
Hebrews 12:1-3 New King James Version (NKJV)
The Race of Faith
12 Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 looking unto Jesus, the [a]Hebrews 12:1-3 New King James Version (NKJV)
The Race of Faith
12 Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 looking unto Jesus, the [a]author and [b]finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
An interpretation of this scripture (my opinion..
others might have another opinion) is tha5 Paul is saying we are surrounded by a lot of witness, people making judgement calls against us.
Because of this, we must lay aside everything that weighs heavy on us, the depression, the worry of what others think, the everyday grind that weighs us down.
A race has been set before us, this race of life. And, it is Not a sprint that we must win. It is a marathon that we will be proud to complete.
Look to Jesus, the author and finisher of OUR FAITH. He endured life (as messed up as it can be) and death on the cross...knowing that in the end He could finally sit on the right hand of God. And, this goal made Him look forward to what he had to go through to get to the end goal.
I hope this helps.
Matthew 6:25-34 25"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? 28"And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you-you of little faith? 31So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' 32For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
And another favorite that I go to:
Philippians 4:6-7 6Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
My heavenly Father is there for me in all situations, if I allow Him to be. It is a decision that I must make to allow Him into my life. Hope this helps somehow.
I'm sorry that you feel like you're at the end of your rope. Most of us have been there at one time or another. My "go-to" scripture passage is Philippians 4:13 -- "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me," mostly because it's short. : ) In all seriousness, it helps me daily as I deal with a rare and potentially life-threatening illness. There is something about saying it that instantly calms me and makes me feel more "powerful," if that makes sense.
I also rely on Matthew 6:25-34 (Sunset's suggestion), because it reminds me to stop worrying and trust that God will help me through any and every difficult situation. And, I like Psalm 61:2, which states "From the end of the earth, I call to You when my heart is faint. Lead me to the rock that is higher than I." When I’m feeling down/stressed/overwhelmed, the best thing for me to do is look up. God is with us during our darkest times, even when it doesn’t feel like He’s there.
I'm not certain what you're dealing with in your life, but I hope that things get better for you! Hugs.
To answer the original post. A few of my "go to" verses are Isaiah 41:10 & 13 (NKJV)
10 "Fear no, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you . Yes, I will help you. I will uphold you with my righteous right hand,"
13 "For I the LORD your God, will hold your right hand, Saying to you, 'Fear not, I will help you."
God loves you! Hugs!
Here's another one for you:
1 Corinthians 10:13 Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)
13 No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to humanity. God is faithful, and He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation He will also provide a way of escape so that you are able to bear it.
In this scripture, there are 2 very important points.
1. Any temptation (trouble, trial, daily issues) you might have, someone else had been there too.
2. He will provide an ESCAPE so you are able to bear it.
There is one very, very important issue for this promise though:
Matthew 11:28 Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)
28 “Come to Me, all of you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
All great scriptural verses to bask in. My hope is forever in the Lord. Most times
when we are troubled we neglect to look within-but sometimes it benefits
us to look outside of ourselves. I would say that when I look at nature, the sky
and the grandest creation of all humans,I would say it is pretty remarkable
and I would say that God was just warming up when he did that stuff lol. Well
can you imagine what he has in store next?Majestic oceans of love incomprehensible to the human mind.Yes when you are struggling to keep head above water focus and be encouraged, discipline your mind to encourage yourself, you are precious as every hair on your head is counted.
Here,please add this to the beautiful scriptures above;
PHILLIPIANS 4: verses 6,7 and 8
6Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. 8Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think on these things.
Think on these things-
If you nurture yourself by doing this diligently Gods Angels are dispatched
to send aid to you.Psalm 91:11,12
11For He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways. 12They will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.…
Sooo have you ever wondered how people miraculously survive the most
treacherous storms that life delivers? PSALM 91 VERSE 12.the angels are
dispatched ,it is their job but you have to do your part, release any negative
energy within& discard and replace with PHILLIPIANS 4:8
Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think on these things!!
Peace, Light ,Positivity showering you!! these belong to you to utilize forever.
For whatever reason, we got of on a favorite scripture quote of mine.
Matthew 7:3-5 New King James Version (NKJV)
3 And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye?4 Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye’; and look, a plank is in your own eye? 5 Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.
She looked at me with wonder in her eyes. "That's scripture? Really?" It shocked me. My daughter, who I raised, did not know this scripture.
Then, the conversation turned to the fact that certain phrases are "old" and trite to her, but new and unheard of to the young people she is teaching.
So, never give up. She 33 years old. And just learning certain scriptures. You are not alone in this. Learn...
2 Peter 3:18 New King James Version (NKJV)
18 but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
I caught my ex cheating April 27, 2014. I was living in a small town in Alabama due to my work and that fact changed everything. He packed our kids clothes and stated he was taking our 8 year old twins, 7 year old and 4 year old home to West Va. To his parents house. His dad had just been released from prison 5 months prior for molesting 2 little girls in his church. I panicked and busted hia windshield so he could not carry on with his plans. My kids were not home, the truck was in my name and in my yard. He called Child Protective Services the following day and our babies were taken fir 6 long weeks until I completely moved out (moved into new place (9days later)and we started coparenting counseling. Due to me bashing windshield.....I was reported unsafe to continue working at my job at the local preschool and was made to quit my job on June 28, 2014. I met a man who I thought was an angel a few days later. On July 11, 14 my daddy was hospitalized for losing his battle with Hepatitis ABC. He was only a few miles from me ans I had been trying to save his life for 3 years. He passed away on july19, 2014. I had just left his hospital bed to sign my divorce papers the day before daddy passed away. He was 54 years old. I then planned hia funeral 5 hours away. The following day my pet Pomeranian of 4 years died having her puppies and i wasnt there to help her. The scene was horrific. 4 days later I picked daddys ashes up and it was my birthday. I left for home the next day to bury my daddy next to his dad. I prayed for peace for leadership for guidance for a clear mind for safe travels for inner strength and i asked God to please give me the blessing of me feeling his arms carry me during this funeral.
As soon as I walked into the church....I went to stumble then felt light. I first assumed Inwas going to faint or something even though I was emotionally doing okay. As I walked onto that stage to conduct my dads funeral in front of maybe 90 people......i felt God carrying me and I was later asked why I smiled so big walking up to speak. His hands lifting me up was so apparent and so peaceful. Im the tenderhearted sister out of 6 girls. And yet I was the one who haf it all together.
I wanted to share this with you and the trails I endured in just 10 short weeks.
You got this and all you have to do ia sit and chat for a while as often as you can. You will see what roads open up and you will know he is busy working. God Bless
