Champions Of Christ Church Community Group
This is a church, but online! Most people view a church as the building you go to for worship. NOT TRUE. In the beginning, it was a community that shared things. This is a church. A web-based community who can share with others. Feel free to ask questions. There are no "dumb" questions. How will you know unless you ask. I only ask that you have JOY. (Respect of Jesus,...

Lamentations 3:22-23 (NLT) "The faithful love of the LORD never ends! His mercies never cease. (23) Great is his faithfulness. his mercies begin afresh each morning."
None of us will ever be perfect, that's precisely why we needed a Savior. If you fall, just tell God you are sorry and get back up again. He is always faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9).
I can see that you have a heart to please Him, you just know that you will never be perfect, and that seems to scare you. Just know that none of us will ever reach perfection. However, we should try to change. There are two verses that come to mind that may be helpful. Romans 12:2 and Ephesians 5:26. The first one tells us that we are transformed by renewing our minds, and the second one tells us that God's Word cleanses us. How do we renew our minds? By reading God's Word. We will always struggle to do the right thing, but it makes it easier to overcome sin when we read and study the Bible. Hebrews 4:12 tells "For the Word of God [the Bible] is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our inner most thoughts and desires."
Just by reading God's Word we can be transformed and changed. I hope that helps. Hugs!
Peter had a temper,
David had an affair,
Noah got drunk,
Paul was a murderer,
Gidean was insecure,
Miriam was a gossip,
Martha was a worrier,
Thomas was a doubter,
Judas was a traitor,
Sarah was impatient,
Elijah was moody,
Moses was a stutterer,
Zaccheus was short,
Abraham was old,
Lazurus was DEAD.
If God can use these people to tell His story, he can use me...and you!!!
I'm just saying.
It seems that you are afraid of backsliding...in your words, "of straying." We have all been guilty of that at times, but God does not condemn us. He calls us back to Him through the work of the Holy Spirit. This is made clear in the parable of the prodigal son. The father did not demand that his son leave; rather he welcomed him back. His return was cause for celebration, not condemnation.
"And he arose and came to his father. But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and felt compassion, and ran and embraced him and kissed him." (Luke 15:20)
God will always welcome you back, no matter how many times you fall. Please don't let fear of "not following through" hold you back. Hugs.
And, my favorite part:
But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and felt compassion, and ran and embraced him and kissed him."
This is an example of God's love for us. He cares not what we have done, what we have said.
He cares only that we are back with him.
And, He was/is watching and waiting for that return. He gets so excited when He sees us that He just can't hold it in. "But while he was still a long way off," He ran to meet that son. Put a ring on his finger, new clothes on his back, and commanded a party be thrown in his honor.
And, did He ask "What you been doing? How did you spend your inhertance? Nope. Non of that!
Yup, that's a very positive welcome.!!!!
