I have been listening to a lot of worship songs, but in these two songs of Petra I wanted to let you listen to these two as well as sharing my thoughts.

In this song I suddenly started thinking when noticing the part where it is sung:

They searched his face for anger for vengeance in his stare. Instead of eyes that burned with hate a look of love was there."

And I thought to myself that this is also how I want to become, I want to be so filled up by Jesus Christ's love shining so strongly through me, that no matter how much pain is 'caused by my enemies, no matter how they mock me, and try weakening me, try weakening my faith in Him, they will see more of His love and mercy shining through me. This is a great reminder to me also because I have sometimes still been upset and angry by what two who I thought were my friends did towards me. They betrayed me and hurt me, they were very mean towards me, and misused me as well as saw pleasure in trying with breaking me down. These ones also called themselves Christians, but their acts and words were different. I know that I have done my mistakes, and we all will keep on making mistakes. But that senstence in that song gave me a desire for becoming this way, becoming much more loving and merciful towards my enemies. Becoming the way Jesus is, and if others can see Jesus trough us then we are on the right track. Because it is all about Him! And we are meant to be walking in His footsteps, as well as sharing all of the good news!

I think this song is very encouraging too, and sometime when I have felt a bit low I got lifted up again when listening to this song. I sure get lifted up by most songs which are giving the Lord the glory! But I just remember that one time and I thought it was special that such a simple written and sung song like this could lift me up so much during that time. :-)
