I am considering adopting two cats who have been together since birth.  They are now 6 years old, and their owners for health reasons can't keep them.  This re-housing would take place very soon.

I am afraid that this re-housing would be a very major transition.  What can I do to make this transition as smooth as possible??

I have already had some tramautic experiences with cat fights, etc. with former cats.  I'm getting cold feet because of these experiences.

If the transition were smooth, these cats could be a good fit.
