It's made by Pfizer? I'm so sorry. I've never used that particular brand. I use Frontline only now after my cat suffered seizures after applying Seargents.
I just switched from Frontline to Advantage after Frontline failed my dying darling, Sister. She died of renal failure, and the whole time was crawling with fleas, despite regular applications.
It also failed my surviving cat, Clara.
Deepest sympathies to you, Diggies ... what a horrible sadness. My grief is also new .... Sister died in June.
Let's face it ... all of these flea remedies are in fact poisons.
I always used Frontline but it didnt really work, then my other kitty got a tipe of tick bite fever and the vet administered Revolution, so I purchased Revolution for my other 2 kitties too.
It really worked but then Diago got sick, vet said no significant billary parasites in his blood, so maybe poison. Only after seeing someone else on internet claiming that it killed their kitty, did I realise that maybe he was poisoned by the Revolution. Diago was also the only kitty of mine that had a reaction to Capstar...
I'm going to go see the vet tomorrow to discuss this... To think that I may have poisoned my baby, I am heartbroken...
I have always had good luck with Advantage. I tried Frontline once and it didn't help with the fleas, I also tried another one but it was not Revolution. I always end up going back to Advantage so I think that is what I will stay with from now on.
After reading up on Haemobotonella, that is what Diago was diagnosed with, I think that he died of pneumonia, the vet should have known to look out for this.... I dont know anymore, so many questions and no answers...
OMG are you KIDDING ME? Two cats have died in last couple of years, right after applying Revolution. I use Frontline plus in summer, and revolution in winter, just dosed my cat today.
Have I killed my cats? OMG, she has been acting really sick since I put it on her, this is a newish cat for me. And last year I put it on her twice, and she got a bad cough. Wow. I thank you for putting this up.
Can you tell me more??
I am soo sorry you lost your cats.
My little Sammie got sick one afternoon, few days after Revolution, ended up dead in 9 days. Vet told me he had cancer, very young cat. Vet charged me hundreds and cat died anyway. Vet sold me Revolution
Hey Diggies, I sent you a friend request if you want to talk more, but I just called two places.
I called my vet, because recently he quit selling Revolution. I asked them why and they said because they weren't selling it. It's really gotten expensive. But I asked if they had seen it harm any pets, and they said no.
I then called 1800PetMeds, because they let you talk to a vet for free. I asked if Revolution had been black boxed (put warnings on), or if anyone had reported a pet reaction. They said no.
I pray for you, but am still questioning my last two pets death, right after revolution.
I just put it on my cat mystro, and she's been acting like she's dead, no energy, hardly moving.
Please PM me if you want, I'd love to talk to you about this. Love tinder. and purrs from mystro kitty.
I know this is an old post but after some research I found that Revolution can raise blood pressure in some cats. Cats most at risk are middle aged to older and or obese felines and possible ill cats. I have had cats for 40 years and never had a cat die from a sudden cardiac arrest until the last two years. I lost one cat after both applications after the summer. I used only one application in the summer. I have seen coughing after dosing them which can be a sign of heart problems. By the way hind leg paralysis can be a symptom of a heart issue caused by Revolution. When I first used Revolution I was sure I was using one of the safest products. Now my life has been stripped of two playful, healthy and beautiful felines. I no longer believe it is a safe product. It is not worth the risk. I rescue cats so I would notice side effects more than someone that has a few cats. It is not worth the risk.
These drugs from experience are no good for cats with any renal problems. Do not use if you have a cat with renal issues. Capstar once or twice a month would be safer and sufficient. I have had CKD cats and any time either Frontline or Revolution was applied they would experience a worsening of their symptoms for at least three weeks. Yes I know Capstar only kills adult fleas for a short amount of time but it does a very good job. Also it is much safer. It is better than killing your cat.
I left my two cats at a shelter due to having to move where they were given two doses of Revolution.
One is bigger and Gemini was smaller and the runt, he has always seemed to be a needier cat. After I retrieved him and he had the Revolution a day before I got him, he was several pounds lighter, hardly moves, is extremely weak and eats very little. I think he is having liver failure. I am feeding him a little several times a day and putting him in sunlight. Also giving him milk thisle I just started. I am very worried. He was fine two months ago. I will never let my cats have revolution again.
My 2 felines are indoor only so I do not have a problem with fleas at all. The lady who owned this house previously did not have any pets so there were no fleas left behind!
It also failed my surviving cat, Clara.

Can it be true?
I am so sorry to hear about this, please, I would like to know more. I believe you.
