Hi, I just joined!  We are cat lovers and have two indoor (spoiled) kitties and feed a number of strays.

One of our "babies" is a Tortico and has some health problems so she ends up at the vet every few months.

Our other indoor cat, a beloved tabby, is Kinda Stupid.  And every time our Tortico comes back from the vet it's like meeting a stranger all over again.

So our tabby growls and hisses and picks fights with the "strange new kitty" - who smells funny - every time, and I put her in a bedroom for the first couple of hours until our Tortico has had time to at least eat and drink.

What can be done?  Is there a way to make the adjustment easier?
