I'm a newbie here, but I'm not a newbie to having cats. I had one or more cats all the years between 1979 and 2017. In 2017, my husband died and I moved to a personal care home, where I was not allowed to have a pet. I missed it so much! Finally, I was able to have my own apartment again this year and will be able to have a cat. They charge $300 deposit to have a pet, so I have to pinch pennies for awhile. Also I still have a drivers license, but I lost my car when I moved out of my last apartment. So I've been looking a petfinder.com, and there are so many beautiful cats available. I've been looking a Chubbies to get supplies, but it's hard to shop for a cat you've never seen! How big of a litter pan? What kind of litter? Which food is best? I always went with Tidy Cat litter, Fancy Feast, and Purina One. Several of my cats were diabetic, so I had to be fussy about their diet. I'm looking forward to this, but I'm kind of scared. It's been 5 years since I had a cat. Do I remember all I need to to be a good pet parent?
