Oh geez I'm so sorry to hear that. I hope she's OK and will come home soon. Sometimes when they're scared they just run without thinking about where they're running to and have a hard time figuring out how to get back. Or she could have gotten the idea that your place isn't safe because of the dog.
When I had a feral colony (which is gone now because construction crew have torn down the spot I used to feed them) I had cats that would disappear for days or even weeks or months at a time. Zena would regularly disappear for months then mysteriously reappear as if she'd never gone anywhere. Damian used to vanish too but he would come back eventually.
So don't give up. Ferals can wander far and wide (one study found most of them have a territory of about 3 square miles) and she could very well come back some day when you don't expect her to.
Hope you yelled at the neighbor for letting his dog run loose! That's why I hate dogs. Not so much the dogs but the dog owners.

Tiger finally returned late Tuesday night. She was scared and hungry but did not seem injured. I gave her extra food and some treats. She is sill scared and on guard all the time but I'm so glad to have her back home.

We have a a lot of dog owners in this neighborhood who can't seem to control their dogs. The scary thing is we have mostly pitbulls in this neighborhood who use them as guard dogs and don't really seem to train them. Don't get me wrong I have nothing against pitbull dogs, it's the owners I have issues with.

I have a similar issue. My upstairs neighbor has one and he got loose in October and attacked Thea who was minding her own business on my deck. I still haven't forgiven him and Thea is still scared to go out and won't go for a walk any more like she used to.
I think Tiger will settle down after a while. Once she sees it's safe to come out again.
Yeah I agree that the problem with most dogs are dog owners.

I thought everything was going to be okay when Tiger returned but everything is so wrong. I noticed Tiger has something wrong with all 4 bottoms of her paws. I can't get a close look but she has white paws and it looks like something black is stuck all over and between them. She keeps licking and picking at them. It could be pitch from a tree but not sure.

The other problem is that her mother and sister's will hiss and run from her when she tries to go near them. I don't understand why they are doing this as they have always been close, sleeping together and playing together. Does anyone know why they would suddenly turn away from her? She was only missing for 4 days. I feel so bad for Tiger, she is still so scared and now none of the other cats will have anything to do with her. They won't even go on the porch if Tiger is there.

I wouldn't worry too much about the paws. Get a look at them if you can get close enough to her. without scaring her. You don't want her to run away again. Whatever it is will probably wear off or the skin will shed and take the stuff with it.
The other cats are probably hissing because she may smell 'funny' from where ever she was hiding. With my old colony at work Tigerlily's kitten disappeared for two weeks. When he came back she hissed at him and tried to hit him every time he went near her (even though she was his MOM and he didn't understand) but after a while he regained his 'normal' smell and she accepted him back again.
It happens too in multicat houses where one cat either escaped and is missing for a while or has for instance gone to the vet and smells like the vets office when he comes back. Thea will do that to her brother Teddy.

We could use prayers this way for Tiger. She stopped eating March 31 and was really sick. She was hiding in tall grass and wasting away.

She is now slowly starting to eat a very small amount of food but not enough. I could still lose her but I'm hoping she has no damage to her liver and kidneys going so long without food and water. She does look a little better but you can still see she is not feeling well by looking in her eyes.

Last night for the first time she came and cuddled on the shelter with her mom and one of her sisters. I just want Tiger to pull through this. I'm going outside and trying to get her to eat small amounts through out the day. I also started giving her some antibiotics in canned kitten food. Please send prayers this way for her.

Cats are remarkably resilient.. If she's eating better that's a good sign. Keep working with her and hope for the best. It's always stressful when they're sick.
