At present my wife is in hospital and boy haven't the cat's noticed.
Penny who is my wife's baby really, won't leave me alone, sleeps on Jane's side of the bed after nuzzling into me, walking around the area, padding, purring and nuzzling me more as if to say `Where is my mummy'
Lucky who is the youngest and is quite vocal, is even more vocal, he is walking around the house crying all the time as if he is looking for her.
The above two are the wife's cat.
My two cats Tigger and Spice
Well Spice is coming up to bed with me and asking to go under the covers with me and then curling up against my body as close as she can.
Tigger is watching me constantly and as soon as he detects i'm crying he's there nuzzling into me, and licking my eyes and if I don't pay him attention because i'm crying he will paw me until I do.
What would I do without my 4 furry friends at present, probably be in pieces. It's them that is keeping me going.
So appreciate each moment you have with your loved one's and know when they aren't there to be by your side through illness your furry friends will notice and take over.
Loved this Cath....I so feel that cats know us and sencs what is going on. My cat is definitely a lot more cuddly at night if she feels I am upset. She gives me a clear birth if she thinks I am frustrated.
At the moment I am home off work on holiday and the closeness she is giving me is amazing.
Now, the one thing I would love to do more than anything, grow a garden for her. I shall pray on that one.
Our loving cats can sense when something is wrong and out of the ordinary. They can even sense how your feeling. My cat does not like it when ever I need to leave for town. She just knows when I'm getting ready in my room that means I'm going some where. So she'll start crying and crying to me like begging not to leave. My other cat could careless and keeps on snoring away on her pillow. If I am gone out the door, my mom says she is still meowing around for me. I think it is great that our cats want to be close to us. I hope that your wife gets better and comes home soon.
My cats looked for my wife for quite some time. Jood, the younger one, was literally nursed back to health on my wife's chest when she was bed ridden. It helped them both. Jood seems to have pretty much adjusted although he likes to sleep under a blanket on my wife's side of the bed. Benny, the older and more stand-offish one, gets upset when I prepare to go to work or anywhere else. He didn't used to.
I do hope your wife is better soon. My beloved was hospitalized for extended stays from time to time. It takes a toll.
