I have a cat called winter who is 20 weeks old shes really lovely, we recently got another kitten called shadow she is 8 weeks old , winter keeps hissing at her and not going near her. She hides in our bedroom. But now shadow also keeps weeing on our bed every morning. These are rhe first cats ive ever had so im a bit lost as to what behaviours they are displaying and how to help them
Your "Winter" kitty: Is this kitty by any chance a Bengal? I have had 2 Bengals in the past, male and female, and they BOTH peed in the house AFTER being litter box trained. So I will never buy another Bengal. I have two "Alley Cats" now and they are 11 years old with no problems! If your two are not Bengals, you need to separate the two for awhile but make it possible for them to know about each other by smell, then try again. Cats can be vicious little stinkers sometimes. Also, having BOTH "fixed" will solve some territorial problems. Good luck, keep us posted!
Thats good advice thankyou :) and to answer your question they are not bengals winter is half Manecoon and shadow is a mix of everything haha x i think its a terretorial thing more than anything x hopefully thats all it is
It takes a while for cats to get used to each other. It could be that the one is weeing in the bed because of being afraid of the other kitten. I have a room that I put one in while the other is out (make sure there is a cat box and water) and then switch them throughout the day and separate at night. This makes sure they are getting each other's scent. Then I only have them together when I am with them for a short time. Slowly make the time longer.
I also feed them where they can see each other but not be threatened.
Some adjust within a few weeks, some take much longer. Since they are young, it might only take a few weeks.

DEFINITELY get them fixed!
