We have given our lives to our children and they reject us. We still love them but this love is now frozen in time. How do we deal with the resulting chaos of our lives? We talk and we listen to one another as we cope with this loss and assault on our sensibilities. Respect in our thinking and language are a must.

For several weeks i tried to sign in but the site seemed to erase my password and so for a week or so I just gave up on things. The new site version sucks as far as I am concerned. This window for example has appeared and i am filling it out to post this new topic. One needs a microscope to read as I type. My nose is almost making a smear on my compter screen. Oh well. I will give it a good effort and i plan to be here tomorrow to see if i can breathe a new life into this group and at the same time learn how to use it better. There are still lots of things i have to figure out. I welcome you all on this renewed site and i hope that it is just a matter of getting used to these new things. xfmlg

Hi xfmlg, I agree.. this site is hard to use and is lacking many functions but maybe it will get better in time. This happened at kind of an interesting time because I am losing interest in this topic. I think it might be better to detach from it and think about other things. There isn't much more to say, for me at least. It is what it is and my dh and I along with our daughters have to live with it. All I can say is that it is no longer our problem, it is our son's problem whether he realizes it or not.

Summer is going quickly here, so busy with outdoor things on the farm. My "to-do" list is very long every day! We had company last week, and Monday we are getting company again for two weeks. Our nephew and his wife from Arizona are coming here for a wedding and to work on their property.

I really don't want to lose touch with members of the group so I will stop in probably daily just to see what's going on with you all.

I agree with you Norah. Also with this restructuring of the site, I note that our site has got 2 new members and they are the people who were on here as either my own kids or as their friends and now they are on this site. I too have lost interest in that this site is so difficult to use. I think that they lost lots of people with this changeover. I do not want to relive my estrangements over and over again on a daily basis as this is not healthy for me. So I have not been posting much of anything at all here. I hope that your summer is going well. xxfmlg

Thank you for the private message you sent last september. Alot going on plus the confusion on the site. I will give the group a chance, but do admit that I am not thrilled with the new format. I will try to share openly but I was wounded by another estrangement group so I will be careful to protect myself. Thanks again and I look forward to making new friends.
