I have never used an online support group before..well any type of support group..I am 58..my husband is a disabled Vet with mobility issues...Last spring he started on chemo for what his oncologist calls a "blood cancer"..it's much like leukemia...Polycythemia Vera..there is no cure but with treatment ..the chemo he takes will prolong his life ..I take care of him 24/7..the VA sends us some help with his cares like showering and helps me with household chores..I have a few health problems..dealing with Hep C and it makes it hard for me to keep going some days..my problem is the more I have been doing for him the less he was able to do for himself..other than feed himself I do everything for him..I guess I thought in time he would feel better and then start doing more again..I am so worn out...last night I got up to use the restroom and fell asleep on the toilet and almost fell off of it..caught myself my the sink..would be funny if I didn't feel so dog tired..he can walk small distances..like to the bathroom..any ideas on how to get him to work on getting back some of what he lost?..he gets out of breath just walking about 20 feet..I feel guilty in pushing him..I am rather at a loss as to what to do ..he is a high risk in throwing a blood clot so its important he get to moving a bit more...thanks for letting me vent..I love my husband very much...we have been married only 5 years and I don't want to loose him
