What Should We Tell Them?

As defenders of the faith, so to speak, what should we say to people who smoke for things like Bipolar Disorder without taking psych meds & suddenly start having problems, and seem to think the weed's to blame? There are tons of people who rush to tell them that's exactly the problem and that it'll make them even crazier. I just HATE to see another stoner scared out of using this helpful medicine. It causes a little bit of despair in me each time I see it.

You should try it, its just like most of the MS meds its not good for everyone but for those who enjoy it its better than conventional meds. So I say try it you'll like it.and if not thats ok too.

Well every health problem is different. I take breaks when I have to for reasons that I have. I know that mary ain't going to hurt me as compared to pills...

This is not for those who question, but for those that don't know anything.
Seems very soon we will be moving into a new home with my elderly parents. They just can't do it all on their own. anymore.
They have no idea that we've smoked since practically forever. I know they consider it to be like other drugs, cocaine, heroin, etc. I have never educated them.
It WAS always recreational, but lately it's become medicinal. Kills the hypers really quickly. WAY better than any benzo's.

Amen, to that, Bobbi. But yeah, if they view it to be the same as coke and heroin, that's bad. You would have a tough time breaking through that propaganda. Do they have any friends, older people, that have a doctor's recommendation for it and use it for medical reasons? Any examples of people that smoke that would make them see it differently? People they would trust more, or see as upstanding citizens that must have had SOME reason to make such a choice?

I have seen smoking help some people and also seen OCD people get soo paranoyd the run around turnning the lights worried there nabers will know if they seen them. Every one's body is different and it can help or hurt just like any medication.
