I had lost half of the hair on my head during chemo. I was 42 at the time. When I had radiation, I had burns and blisters under my breast. There was a cream called Aquaphor that worked wonders in clearing it up. I'm still on Arimidex until November. I can't wait to get off of it in hopes that I can lose some weight that I didn't have before the cancer. It's been a struggle since.
I'm talking LATE effects...I have recently been told I have osteoporosis from the chemotherapy fourteen years after I was diagnosed with the cancer.
I finished my chemo over a year ago for ovarian cancer and I still have muscle weakness in my hands. Plus a lot of pain in my joints. But it is hard to determine what is a result of the chemo or related to my other conditions.
Actually I've had weight trouble since the chemo, and that was 6 1/2 years ago. I just got off Arimidex the beginning of this month. I just wish the weight would come off again. I have osteopenia since the cancer also.
