I gained 56 lbs on Seroquel! I had terrible food cravings and increased appetite on it, and my Pdoc started me on low dose Topamax and that helped curb the cravings and appetite. I can't say it stopped the weight gain b/c I think Seroquel messes up your Metabolism, b/c I hardly eat, and I gain weight.
I was up to 400-600 mg of Seroquel at night...but I'm weaning off of it, and now down to 100 mg at night :) I've dropped from 170 lbs to 156 lbs since weaning down, and I'm not even exercising. I need to exercise, but just have no energy/motivation. I started at 114 lbs....
I want off of Seroquel, I'm tired of the weight gain. I'm doing well coming off of it, a little harder to get to sleep, but I'd rather be on a sleeping pill than Seroquel. In fact, I am planning to wean off all my meds! I want to see what I look like off of all my meds!!
