Brain Aneurysm Survivors Group Community Group
A group to comfort fellow brain aneurysm survivors. We seek to relieve the anxiety about what survivors think about their progress on the way back to full health, work, and so on.
I come from a long line of aneurysm-ridden family members, only my case is different in that I survived. Unfortunately, no one in my family will talk to me and I am now almost homeless. I was curious if any other aneurysm survivors have been alienated from family and others. Having been self-employed and self-insured, my being thousands of miles from loved ones and single means that I have literally no support. Any thoughts or words of encouragement, in addition to perhaps making me feel less like alien, would be sooooo helpful...
You should find out if a hospital in your area has a local brain aneurysm support group.
Did your aneurysm rupture?
Now that I'm not working, it is even more difficult. I am very fortunate though that in addition to having an extremely supportive husband, a couple of friends who live at a great distance have been amazing as well. Probably because those people have dealt with major health issues as well and "understand". I pretty much am in contact with these friends on a daily basis and I am so thankful for them!
