I have ordered lots of stuff from TV most of it turned out to be crappy and I always returned the product simply because these companies count on people simply tossing the crappy items out. Never tried the Veg-O-M atic back then and now I do not have the energy to use anything that is manually operated.-LOL But I am glad you located one and it brings you joy. Hmm maybe I could order one for a holiday present.....

I loved that Veg-O-Matic. Through the years I got one when they first came out. Then I found 2 at garage sales. Then 2 months ago I saw them in Heartland and I now have a new improved model. Love it!

My Mother had one,,,I don't know that she used it that much,,,but I sure do use my Cuisinart and love it,,,I use a old slicer on the order of a veg o matic,,,to slice my potatoes for scalped potatoes ,,,wouldn't be without that old contraption,,,have had the darn thing for like 35 years,,,,lol

LOL I love it!! I remember the ads but I don't recall ever buying one - maybe I"ll have to do that now. But then I'd have to cook and I don't cook - I microwave only.

I remember my sisters husband buying one for my mother.
He brought it in and was going to demonstrate how well it worked by slicing a tomato.
Placed a ripe tomato on it and pushed down rather hard,you guessed it tomato splattered all over the kitchen , of course i have never missed an opportunity to bring this up in the many years since.

LOL Chesty - We did the tomato disaster too! It was all over the wall and Hubby had it across his belly! We still get a big laugh at that memory!
