A lot of the prescription drugs are going to Over The Counter. This means the insurance won't cover them. Has this caused you any problems? Are they higher than now than your co-pay?

There is always some new drug replacing the one that is OTC now so your dr can just write you a new prescription for the new drug, I guess I dont mind buying otc keeps one from going to dr and Insurane has raised copays so high anymore.

Go to SAMS or COSTCO and buy in quantities or use theri brand saves alot. Like there sudafe it 2,43 comparede to sudafed price.

When I worked for a TV station I had great insurance. My co-pays for prescriptions were $15 and $30 and I could get 3 month prescriptions for an extra $5. When my doctor prescribed a $3,000 medicine for mrsa, the insurance let me have it for $60! This is the same company that paid $80,000 of the $85,000 charge for my bypass surgery. Some of my meds that went OTC cost double my co-pay. My doc changed the med, but the old one had been doing the job. It's funny? that even though the meds went OTC, no generics were made.

I think the drug has to be around 5 years or so on the market before a generic can be madet, something like that I heard. Have you ever experienced where some generics dont work at good as the original drug? I have and have had to return to the original more expensive version.
