I remember listening to "The Shadow"

Saturday night was the "Grand ole Opry" with Minnie Pearl,,,My Grandmother and I would listen to that before we went to bed to get up for church the next morning,,,

Didn't Jack Benny also have a show on the radio? Seems like I vaguely remember listening to him too,,,

Also,,,would listen to the "Andrew Sisters...can still hear my mother singing "Don't sit under the apple tree" :)

Artie Kay was Lexington, Ky's morning wake-up on WVLK. I remember listening to Artie in the '60s and very early '70s. I remember his theme song so well "The Sunny Side of the Street". I recall my mother listening to two soap operas in late 50s and would sit me on the sofa beside her and dare me to cry - "The Romance of Helen Trent" and "Our Gal Sunday."

I still listen to Old Radio programs on XM radio!
