I know this is early but a national chain is way to early. K-Mart is advertising layaway now for Christmas! Are kids these days ready to decide what they want for Christmas and not change their minds? When did you make your final decision for your letter to Santa?

I see Walmart is also advertising Lay-a -way for Christmas. My question is who is the one to decide what they get for Christmas? Yes the kids say but the parents pay! I always used layaway when my children were young so it did not stress the budget so much.

As for my letter to Santa...never did that!

we wrote to santa via school in second grade - i think after thanksgiving. i don't remember my daughter doing that at all, but we don't stress presents for christmas - for us its a religious holiday.

holds i used to love, because it gave me time to think before i bought.

i've only used lay away for mechanical things, but than you for the heads up.
