Just the phone,,,I don't get into all that texting,,,but its a good thing,,,BFF had one got stuck up in the mountains in Oregon ,,,snow,,,had her DH's Mother who had diabetes,,,no cell tower so phone would not work,,so for two days they were stranded up there,,,she text messaged her son in Georgia and it went thru,,they were found ,,,,was a horror story,,so if you have texting abilities it's good to know that it works like that,,,

I have an I-phone and I love it, (don't like the bill). I use it as a phone, to text and check e-mail and even to surf the internet. It's a wonderful little piece of technology. Mine had that new "facetime" so if I am talking to someone who also has it and we are both in reach of Wi-fi, We can look at each other while we talk. Never thought I would live to see the day!! So far the only person I've "facetimed with is Hubby but still I am fascinated with it!

Have one but seldom use it. Our service here at home is next to none so I have it to take with us for emergency. Just have the cheapy Tracphone. But I am so jealous of the cool things that can be done with the phones now and sometimes think I should move back to civilization just to have one!

I have one and mostly use it between DH and I just to keep connected throughout the day when I'm out and he's at work.

Honestly? I've owned about four different cell phones now and DH usually only gets the best of the best according to Consumer Reports. Each of them has had its own problems. I think they pushed cell phone technology way too fast and hard and they should have perfected the reception and quirks a whole lot more before hiking prices up so high.

I have a cell phone and use it for everything---shoot, mine even has GPS so I can't hide from the kids, Darn it!!!!! I carry two different providers in the household and the cheaper one is the best for coverage, so the grandbabies (who are old enough) have that company and I have the expensive all-inclusive one for the adults. Tough come bill-time, but great to stay in contact and be somewhat worry-free.

I bought a cell phone out of self preservation. I was working nights and sleeping days and the land line always woke me up. My boss suggested getting one and I put the most outlandish ring tone on it to wake me up. I learned to tune out the land line. I have a Virgin Mobile pay as you go phone. I get 120 minutes every 3 months for $20. The coverage is pretty good. I got a call while on vacation is California from my boss in Texas. Only my doctors and family members have the cell number and I use the land line to screen calls. I don't text because my fingers just can't do the job and don't use the internet because I have a computer. It's funny because my last job was in a call center handling problems for AT&T mobile.
