Monopoly - my brother, sister and I would play it for hours and even had to make our own money once because we ran out..

Ok, I had a brother and we played Battleship constantly, Checkers,. My Mom loved to play "Old Maid ' car game. My little sister loved to play Connect The Dots, Scrabble, Yahtzee, and of course Monopoly. Saturday's were game day especially on those cold wintery nights.

Monopoly was big in my neighborhood and we'd sometimes use the money and tokens from a second game because we had so many playing. One of my friends had a game similar to Monopoly, but I can't remember it's name, but it wasn't played as much. The Game of Life was fun, too.

We would play a lot of the paper games - connect the dots and tic tac doe.
Remember cornfield? We would play these in school study hall.
One game I never liked was Hangman.

My best friend and i would play parcheesei with our other two friends. And to this day, 53 years later we still play the game when we get together some times. We also would play 500 rummy when playing cards. Do you think the kids today know what cards are?LOL

When I was very young I think I remember a board game called Sorry. Operation was one of my favorites, and how many of you played the original Mr Potato Head?? Clue was the best!!

We played lots of Scrabble and several card games with Scrabble being the all time favorite.
Unfortunately my husband didn't play board games or cards...the family just didn't.
