How has your lifestyle changed as you've gotten older?

Well what I could do in one day now takes 2 or 3! Somethings I have to hire done now.

There are less loved ones tending the charcoal around the Bar-B-Q pit at the pig roasts and crab feasts. Each gathering gets skimpier and skimpier. So many friends and family members are no longer of this place and that is what gets to me the most.

As Joyce says, it does take so much longer to do chores. Why is that?

I sew less ...but I keep the sewing machine set up.

We find it hard to keep up like we use too...With the economy we can't sell our home,,,,we no longer want to live in our big house and need to downsize but we are of the opinion we don't want to give it away either,,It is difficult to keep up with over an acre of land and a two story home,,,it has changed our life alot,,,we find it hard to keep up like we use too,,,

Lot of family members are now deceased so the family reunions are no longer ,,,family traditions have changed,,young people don't seem to find the importance of family like we did growing up....

Our family get to gethers aren't as often as in the past. Seems like it is just harder to get together anymore esp. since I still have to work and my brother and SIL are retired. They can do what they want and I have to go to work. Can't wait until I can retire but still that means I'll be older too.

...I think the most difficult part is the empty nest...Though its been empty for awhile! It just seems like I have fallen out of the lead role. My family use to revolve around me..now its time for my husband and I to move forward but I'm finding that hard. At this point of my life I find the "woman"issues are awful too...but theres so much that could worst so we just have to greet each day with a smile in our heart!!!!!
