Went swimsuit shopping last night and felt body shamed. Everything was either too big or too small. And everything nearly looked like lingerie instead of something cute to wear in public.

I have 2 nice swimsuits but I am going on vacation to the beach for the first time this year. I've never seen the ocean before. I wanted to try to find a spare suit since we will be there for a few days.

Everything at the stores is ridiculous. If I tried on something that was loose and comfortable it was huge in the boobs. Most of what I tried on was so low cut and far apart you could see my nipples! The more modest ones still had too much padding, which actually made me feel more flat chested. It brought back too many horrible memories of my ex trying to buy me skimpy things then complaining and telling me how badly I needed breast surgery.

Then to make it all worse, my current bf was not helpful at all in shopping. He kept disappearing while I was changing. When I asked him to come look he would just stand out there and expect me to come out and parade around half naked in front of everyone. Some guy was staring and his wife punched him. I was so embarrassed i shrieked and ran back in the changing room. I yelled at my bf that he was embarrassing me and cried.
