I read one of your posts today Quirkygirl and you got me thinking....
How can we tell when what we are feeling is just straight paranoia, or something different.
There have been different incidences throughout my life where I would feel or know when something was going to happen. Our instincts let us know when something is wrong about a situation, not to trust it, etc.
But this is something different all together.
When my mom passed away I knew something happened. I remember hanging out with some friends and they wanted to go to the bar but I didn't want to leave home. I had the most heart wrenching feeling inside of me. So I stayed home and kept the phone near by. Shortly after that my sister called freaking out with the bad news.
Other times I can get similar feelings but nothing bad happens that I a aware of. I wish there was a way to sort the two. I believe on a spiritual level we can at times tap into these connections that we have with loved ones.
If you could, would you want to make this more dominant in your life... would you want the warning sign, and if so why? I think it is a very cool thing because your inner "you" is speaking, but a nightmare being able to know when someone you love is in trouble.
I totally agree, even with the advantage of having a warning it still isn't good because it's still like a smack in the face when it do happen, I have also had similar experiences as these, like my bf going away and staying there longer, my grandad dying and my exes mum ringing him. Maybe the gut feelings that don't happen are because people prevent them last minute? or maybe those ones are anxiety
