My Dear Kim, I knew at the age of 2 that I didn't have a father. I was in foster care. My Mom worked 2 jobs and dated, which didn't leave much time for me. My foster parents were wonderful to me and I thank God for them as I look back on my life.

When I was 3 my mom married my step-dad. We went along just fine, it was just the 3 of us. I was bonding with my Mom and new Dad. Didn't have a clue about my "real" dad. When I was 5.5 years old and quite use to being spoiled, my baby sister came along, then another, and another, and another, and another, and a brother, and twins, and another sister. Needless to say I was no longer the only child, which I wanted to be.

Moving on to when I was 17 and wanted to get out of the house so bad, my boyfriend and I got pregnant. I told my Mom, and that's when I found out Mom had been raped at 19 and I was conceived. The boy denied he could have children, his Dad backed him up. My Grandmother kicked my Mom out of the house, calling her a whore. That's when my tiny little life started.

I finally found out my biological father's name is AL Clemens no idea where he lives now, but he did live in Hyde Park out side of Boston, MA at the time. I have never contacted him or he me. Come to find out he and his girlfriend had a baby girl shortly after I was born. So it was a lie, he could have children, just not my Mother's.

So, I'm glad you found your Dad's family, Kim, how wonderful!

Oh, Mom passed into heaven this past November 6th, she suffered for many years so she couldn't be of any help for a long time. Her memory was gone.

I'm sorry for all you've had to go through in your life. My mom passed when I was 8 yrs old. So I didn't know anything at all about my biological family and I wanted to know what my mom was like cause my adopted dad doesn't talk about her much. My grandma on my moms side isn't a nice lady, well she told my mom if she didn't divorce my real dad she would disown her. She tried to do it again with my adopted dad but it didn't work. I have no contact with my grandma cause she's just mean, and didn't treat me good growing up.

That's a shame, how your grandma treated you and still does. So sorry for not getting back earlier. Do you have anyone you can talk to about your mom? So sorry about all that. Who do you live with now?

I live with my adopted dad and his new wife. They treat me well. I don't have anymore contact with my grandma. I'm getting to know my bio family pretty well over the past few months. I've been able to get some answers about my life, and my mom. And talked to my birth dad about her. So it helped some. It's just part of the healing process.
