-You can't always control what happens to you, but you can control how you'll respond
-It wasn't until I let go of the need to be right and started pursuing the need to be healed that I found hope for a better life
-Emotional Cannibalism - People who feel the only way they can lift themselves up is by tearing other people down Only hurting people can sysematically hurt other people. People in pain inflict the most pain on people they're supposed to love. That doesn't justify their actions, and it doesn't diminish the damage done, but it takes away some of the sting when you realize it wasn't personal. It wasn't about you. Their actions say nothing about your worth as a human being. Instead, they speak volumes about the brokeness of the one(s) who failed you.
-Bitterness is like a contagious disease; 1st it spreads throughout our own body; then it begins to overtake the people around us.
-"You hurt me so bad you nearly killed me, but because Christ died for me, His love compels me to forgive you". Nothing short of that type of forgiveness will ever change your life.
-When we feel worthless, we act worthless. Instead of faith ruling our lives, insecurity rules our thoughts and actions
-If we emphasize the Word without the Spirit, we dry up. If we hold the Word and Spirit together we grow up
-The true test of our faith is how we treat other people
-Faith - hoping for the best and absolutely certain of what it cannot see. Don't allow for the disappointments of life to rob your hope and confidence
-I'm not going to be afraid of anything because God hasn't given me a spirit of fear, but of love, power and a sound mind 2 Tim. 1:7
-I can magnify God or magnify my problem Psalm 69:30&31
-I never complain, because it robs me and everyone around me of joy Philip. 2:14
-I always remember: She who guards her mouth and her tongue keeps herself from trouble Prov. 21:23
-If people could say one word about me, they'd say: gracious, I always extend to others the same grace God has extended to me Eph. 4:29-32
-I'm becoming more and more like Jesus all the time: gracious, generous, anointed and compassionate. I walk moment by moment in the power of the Holy Spirit 2 Cor. 3:17&18

Value is now measured by two criteria: appearance and performance. Where does that leave the ugly or uneducated? Where hope does that offer the unborn child? The aged? The handicapped? Not much at all. We become nameless numbers on mislaid lists.
This is man’s value system. But it is not God’s. His plan is much brighter.
We’re being prepared to walk down the church aisle and become the bride of Jesus. We’re going to live with him. Share the throne with him. We count. We’re valuable.
Jesus’ love does not depend on what we do for him. If there was anything that Jesus wanted everyone to understand it was this: A person is worth something simply because he is a person. That’s why Jesus treated people the way he did.
