Through the clouds
The sun streams,
Warming my soul
In brilliant beams,
Drying my tears,
Inspiring a smile,
Erasing the memory
Of every trial,
Lifting my heart
To the blue sky,
Sparking sunshine
To beam in my eye...
Yes, weeping may stay
For the night,
But rejoicing comes
In morning sunlight,
Though for a moment
My heart may quaver,
Forever I know
Sweet Jesus’ favor.
So on this morning
As I sit in the sun,
I rejoice in all
My Savior has done:
He has redeemed me
From darkest depths,
He has surrounded me
In love’s endless breadths,
He has renewed
My heart’s sweet song,
He has embraced me
In arms so strong,
He has blessed me
With timeless treasure,
With beautiful bliss
Of endless measure.
So I feel sunshine
Beam from my eye,
As my spirit soars
High in the sky,
Jesus is the source
Of my bright smile,
So gladly I sing
Of Him all the while...
Yes, through the clouds

" For his anger lasts only a moment,
but his favor lasts a lifetime;
weeping may stay for the night,
but rejoicing comes in the morning."
