While rabbinical Judaism will not blow the shofar this year until Sunday, it's based on rabbi opinions rather than what is stated in the Torah (first five books of the Christian Bible). Yom Teruah is on a Shabbat ( Friday to Saturday worship as implemented in the book of Genesis)... therefore is of double blessing... because both are considered to be "divine appointments being kept with God". If you celebrate this Feast of the Lord at a congregation may it be a blessing to you, the hearing of the Shofar is of particular importance because prophetical it represents the time of the Coronation of the King and it's a sound that believers should be familiar with to recognize His Return. Be blessed and there are resources available on this Groups page to provide added information on the Hebraic roots of Our Faith.

At least since the time of the destruction of the Second Temple, in 70 C.E., Rosh Hashanah has been celebrated for two days, both in the Diaspora and in Israel; this was meant in ancient times to allow for a margin of error for the sighting of the new moon that marks the opening of the month."
