Beyond Medication Community Group
In this group we will be looking at alternative or supplementary methods of dealing with every day stressors and anxiety. This is for people who do not want to feel as though they do not want to be tied to the medicine cabinet. We will be using such techniques as mindfulness, meditation, grounding, guided imagery, Yoga and other behavioral and self-discipline techniques...

I have been dairy free for a month. My body likes it. Chronic sinus congestion and drip are better and still improving. My mood is good overall, despite chronic pain.
Cheers!
Wheat makes me tired, achy, foggy minded and depressed. in fact, I am crying today because ....well because things are still hard at home but wheat makes my thought process slow and sluggish so escaping through work is hard.
When I was eating wheat products, I felt heavy all over, and very sluggish, I just felt like I was dragging my body through my day. And honestly, I was very constipated. No longer. I have a spring in my step, more energy, and I even feel that i can think more clearly. I made other changes at the same time, so I can't say that it is solely based on the gluten sensitivity, but I am absolutely positive that it was a major factor.
If you think it is a problem, try it out. What do you have to lose?

The challenge is cost but have figured out how to get around that. I make my own flour with a coffee grinder and a blender. Thanks for the info, btw
You are not wierd at all. You ARE going to feel badly when you stop with wheat or dairy if you are sensitive to them. This does go away in 3 days for dairy and 2 weeks (for wheat).

So that is the link to some testimonials.
Here is a link for the actual diet. Some can do a modified version and still find relief.

I am moving forward with it.
Fell of the casein free bandwagon but am still gluten free and feeling ok.
soon to be dairy free then on to the ketogenic diet.
For those of you with rapid cycling, irritable and depressed moods where you are impatient but never ONLY euphoric, this is really not looking like bipolar. If you have distinct mania and depression, please take a look at the testimonials above because there are those that are healed almost totally on a ketogenic diet.
So the question is, how much of the disease is genetic, and how much from a response to the Western diet.
China boasts a significantly smaller number of bipolar patients (one in 60,000 not 1 in 50). Makes you wonder what else is the Western diet is doing. The chinese also don't rely on GMO's.
something to think about
here is a study that shows that mania and gluten sensitivity are connected
I have no brain fog anymore but the dairy is causing problems. if it weren't for the Whitmans sampler I would not have eaten any at all.
